An innovation team within a Nordic energy company sought to understand and leverage the potential of AI assistants to enhance their core processes. The goal was to identify tangible business opportunities for AI to improve the efficiency and transparency of their innovation framework and portfolio management, ultimately informing strategic investment decisions.

About

The collaboration began with the client's interest in exploring how AI assistants could support the everyday work within their VIRAL Innovation framework and their overall innovation portfolio management. Our approach focused on gaining a deep understanding of the client's existing data ecosystem and current use of AI, while also looking ahead to the likely future capabilities of off-the-shelf AI assistant technologies. We worked closely with the innovation team to map their key tasks, identify pain points related to efficiency and quality, and discover potential areas where AI could provide significant future value. The project was conducted in a very compact timeframe using an agile methodology, leveraging the expertise of both the client's innovation and domain experts and our AI knowledge.
